Public Advisory: AI-Generated Fake Video

It has come to our attention that an AI-generated deepfake video is being unlawfully and improperly used on social media to promote a purported investment scheme falsely associated with Genting Malaysia Berhad’s Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive. The video deceptively promotes a scheme purporting to offer a 200-fold return on an initial investment of RM 1,200.

We wish to stress that neither Genting Malaysia Berhad nor its Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive is involved in, endorses, or associated in any way or manner with this fraudulent investment scheme or any similar schemes in Malaysia or elsewhere.

We strongly advise the public to:

• Exercise caution and not be misled by the contents of the AI-generated deepfake video.
• Refrain from sharing or circulating the video or any related materials on social media.

Genting Malaysia Berhad disclaims all responsibility for such fraudulent activities and reserves all rights to pursue any action we deem fit against those responsible for creating, disseminating, or benefiting from the fraudulent investment scheme.

We would strongly encourage the public to verify the authenticity of any claims involving Genting Malaysia Berhad by referring to our official websites at www.gentingmalaysia.com and/or www.rwgenting.com.

It has come to our attention that information regarding certain companies within the Genting Group and our resort properties, and of some of our Directors, has been used without our permission or authority in brochures, social medias, forums, messaging mobile applications and documents to recruit participants to a purported multi-level marketing, profit sharing and/or similar investment schemes. Please take note that Genting Group does not operate or recruit participants to any sort of schemes and we take no responsibility for the contents contained in any such brochures, social medias, forums, messaging mobile applications and documents or for any loss suffered by anyone in connection with any such schemes.
